Then, just 2.5 miles away, you have the seaside town of Grange Over Sands where you can walk with wolves to the foot of Lake Windermere and the River Leven, where you will find the villages of Newby Bridge (5.5 miles), Lakeside (7 Miles) and Haverthwaite (9 miles) offering plenty to see and do, from a sightseeing journey on a traditional steam train to a relaxing cruise on the lake.
