Old Well Lodge is situated on the outskirts of the historical village of Cartmel on the Aynsome Manor Park and overlooks one of the many ponds. This is an ideal base for couples and families wishing to explore the southern Lake District.
Aynsome Manor Park which is located just half a mile from the picturesque village of Cartmel. The village has numerous facilities including shops, bars and restaurants, the Michelin star L’Enclume Restaurant with chef Simon Rogan is well worth the visit on a special occasion or simply to treat yourself whilst on holiday. Bank holiday weekends see the village spring into life with the racing fraternity descending on the village and a flutter at the races is a must. Whether it is walking, climbing, pony trekking, fishing, golf or archery, the nearby southern lakes can accommodate you.
Aynesome Manor Park is set around the fish ponds of the monks’ of Cartmel Priory and adjoins the hotel with restaurant and bar. The lodges are in a woodland setting with an orchard and have stunning views of the Cartmel Valley to Hampsfell. Old Well Lodge is a well equipped, comfortable, two bedroom timber lodge situated on a slightly elevated and secluded corner of the park overlooking the delightful pond where you can feed the ducks and take in the beautiful wildlife.

Really enjoyed my holiday in The Lakes. Made all the more special by The Old Well Lodge which was a very comfortable, cosy place to stay in. The Park it is located in is brilliant, I was temporarily incapacitated and couldn't do all the long rambles I had originally planned. The beauty of the Park made up for not being able to get out on the Fells. The Park has many streams and ponds with resident ducks, which both adults and children will enjoy seeing. There's an orchard at the back of the park the views from the orchard are wonderful. Cartmel is a lovely place to walk to, with many places to dine. Everyone I met was very friendly. Grange-over-Sands was also a lovely place to visit, with the most fantastic greengrocers and bakers, a good place to stock up on provisions when you are self-catering. Excellent service from Cottage Holday Group.

Very easy to book online. Lodge set in Woodland with Orchard at back which our little dog loved. Very quiet which is what we prefer. Easy access to Lakes,Walks and 20 minutes from Boness by car.
