The living spaces are many and varied, and all are designed to maximise your enjoyment of these truly jaw-dropping panoramic views, stretching across the lake and of course over the Coniston Old Man. The heart of the home is undoubtedly the well-equipped, sociable kitchen which oozes a traditional feel, complete with original oak beams and an Aga! You can enjoy many an hour having fun, rustling up a treat in here, before retiring to one of the many cosy sofas throughout the home. You can enjoy a large living room, a dining room with a grand dining table and some exquisite original features peeking through the chic décor, ensuring a perfect balance of elegance and comfort! With an open fire in each room, you have truly the ideal spot for getting cosy in an easy, relaxed atmosphere.

There are six bedrooms in total, with a flexible arrangement ideal for parties of all shapes and sizes. There are three rooms with king-size beds for absolute comfort, two twin rooms and one triple ideal for children! All six are utterly magnificent, with a wonderful feature wall, soft lighting, soothing, monochrome colour pallets and fantastic furnishings including dressing tables, fireplaces and comfortable seating. There are four bathrooms, each incredibly spacious with a range of walk-in showers, free-standing bathtubs and double vanity sinks.

And finally, step into your enchanting garden which leads all the way to the shores of the lake, and indeed offers private lake access with three jetties! Children will delight in prancing through the English meadow which stretches as far as the eye can see, and of course the lake is the perfect spot for a little frolicking! Dine with a view from your magnificent alfresco dining area on the terrace!

What’s more – you’re within walking distance of Coniston village and all the quaint delights it holds! The quiet sister of the more touristy towns of Ambleside and Hawkshead in the south Lakes area, Coniston village is an enchanting destination for those looking to escape to the country in style!

Delightful ivy-covered country pubs, farmhouses and restaurants sit beautifully against the stunning backdrop of The Old Man of Coniston, a dramatic mountain face rising sharply to the east. A traditional delight, with shops, pubs, cafes and a highly rated Bistro tucked away on the quaint streets, and even the Coniston Brewing Company which can be found in the 400-year-old coaching inn ‘The Black Bull Inn’ for an evening tipple, this is a fabulous base from which to explore the Lake District.

Indeed, it’s what sits just outside of the village that will truly get your heart racing! Something of a mecca for cyclists, walkers and water-sports enthusiasts, the landscapes awaiting you have to be seen to be believed! Leave the car behind and lose yourself in the fresh air! For the true adventurers, unbeatable skiing, climbing and mountain-biking can be found throughout the Park, while more relaxing pursuits including boat hire and golf can be found a stone’s throw away.

Coniston Water itself is about five miles long and half a mile wide, and its boating centre offers boat trips around the lake on the Steam Yacht Gondola, ensuring you can soak up the sunshine and fresh air without exerting yourself. You can also hire bikes from the centre and enjoy a steady jaunt around the lake. Grizedale Forest, with endless miles of hiking and cycling trails which weave through its magical myriad of tree trunks, is just a short walk from Coniston Manor House. While John Ruskin's Lake district home and Tarn Hows are both also within walking distance, so you needn’t make elaborate plans to simply enjoy the countryside!

Nearby attractions including the Lakes Aquarium, with the UK's largest collection of freshwater fish, the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, where you can enjoy a 3.5-mile steam locomotive trip into the Leven Valley and the delightful World of Beatrix Potter, where the fabulous animals of Beatrix Potter's tales are brought to life in three dimensions! All make for a great day out for all ages and can easily be combined for those short on time thanks to their proximity.

The Lake District is England's largest National Park, with more than 3100km of rights of way, you can walk, cycle and ride yourself silly through this enchanting valley as you marvel at some of the world’s best scenery! Adventure courses, boat hire, all kinds of water-sports and much more ensure you can take the Lakes at your own pace, be that racing down the mountains on a bike, fell-running up them or gliding through them on a Launch, the possibilities are endless!
