The thriving village of Coniston is home to the Ruskin Museum, and there s a range of great places to eat and drink. The shore of Coniston Water is just half a mile from the apartment, where you can take part in a range of water sports including kayaking, canoeing and sailing, or take a cruise across the lake by steamer. Heading east, the village of Hawkshead (4.5 miles) is at the head of Esthwaite Water and is known for its links with the author Beatrix Potter. Windermere is just 3 miles further on. Entering the property, the ground floor reception area is shared by the two apartments and features shared laundry facilities including a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. An internal staircase leads you up to this first floor apartment. Stepping inside, the entrance hall has a trouser press and plenty of space to leave your coats before you enter the light and airy lounge.
