Ees Wyke Studio is a compact, cosy retreat in a stunning location, ideal for couples and dog-friendly. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as dog treats and slippers, and the proximity to walking paths and local attractions. While some found the space small and the cooking facilities challenging, the charm of the location and the cleanliness generally left a positive impression.
Most guests found the studio to be very clean, with fresh towels and linens. However, a few mentioned areas where dust and cobwebs were present, and one noted the floors could have been mopped better.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, peacefulness, and proximity to walking routes, pubs, and attractions like Beatrix Potter's Hill Top House. It's considered an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.
The studio is generally seen as comfortable, especially for short stays. Some guests mentioned a need for a new mattress and issues with the brightness of radiator screens at night, but the provision of slippers and other amenities added to the comfort.
Facilities are adequate for a studio, with some guests enjoying the well-equipped kitchen. Criticisms include the lack of a conventional oven and some difficulties with the shower and cooking controls. The presence of an electric car charger was a plus.
Guests frequently mentioned and appreciated the thoughtful extras like dog treats, slippers, and toiletries. While these gifts were well-received, it's important to note that such extras, while delightful, are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

The under-floor heater was a great bonus. The only negatives were: not much of an outdoor space, a shower that was hot but not very powerful and a noisy boiler for the instant-hot-water tap, which we kept switched off when not in use. Other than that, a lovely stay with lots to see and do nearby.

This highlighted the fact there were no games/books in the property, which in normal circumstances we wouldn't have needed. However, the owner could not be faulted for his concern that despite the snow we were OK. There is no greater recommendation than the fact that we are determined to return next year and have the weekend we missed out on.

Richard was very friendly and helpful. Definitely booking again. Loved the complimentary Doggy Box and the Bottle of Wine.
