This first floor apartment set in the Country House of Sawrey Knotts above the village of far Sawrey, giving it spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the Mountains.
The building retains the feel of of a country house with the main front door opening into large welcoming entrance hall with winding staircase all the decor and fittings are to a very high standard, giving the feel of stylish grandeur. Morning Room's elegant hallway leads to the large airy living/dining room with open plan kitchen. This room with it's wonderful bay window offers spectacular views and combines with the quality furnishings and open fire making evenings a real delight TV (with Free Sat), DVD, CD player and radio. The Morning Suite has a handmade solid pine kitchen, including brand new a Neff double oven, ceramic hob and stylish crystallite sink plus large larder fridge and dishwasher.
The romantic master bedroom is en suite with shower, wc and basin. This lovely double room, complete with antique furniture luxury fabrics and chandelier, has panoramic views down Lake Windermere from the large window a TV (with Free Sat) DVD . The 2nd bedroom has zip together twins offering flexibility of a Queen bed if preferred. The 3rd is a very pretty single room in the tower of Sawrey Knotts.
The stylish bathroom has a large bath with hand held shower, WC and basin with brass fittings.
Outside there are lovely shared gardens with spectacular views -whatever the weather, Footpaths lead from the grounds up to Claife Heights and a short stroll away is Far Sawrey with its pub and village shop. The owners have kindly arranged for guests to have access to Burnside Spa in Bowness during their stay.

Beautiful apartment-warm and very comfortable -highly appointed providing a luxury home for the holidays. Perfect location for walking and eating out without taking the car! Very quiet-plenty of room outside to enjoy large garden -dog friendly and views are wonderful. Highly recommend

Sawrey Knotts is a lovely old Victorian country house converted to apartments. The setting is high enough to give fantastic views over towards Lake Windermere. The entrance hall is spacious and welcoming and the apartment (Morning Room) is well equipped and well furnished. Lots of logs available for a cosy fire and the apartment was always toasty warm.

This is a splendid location with amazing views and quiet compared to the other more touristic side of the lakes. Close to beatrix Potter and wonderfull village of Hawkshead. The apartment is spacious with views of the countryside and comfortable for eating and sleeping. The Cuckoo Brow pub close by is great place to take dogs and eat and drink.
