The extensive view over Windermere is captivating! Satter Knotts has been the perfect place for holidays, for families or groups of friends, for 40 years. It has undergone a major refurbishment including an elegant new kitchen and bathroom. Standing high on the west side of the Lake, overlooking the water, with a separate jetty and lake frontage a walk down the hillside it is in a fantastic location.

Looking out from the drawing room or kitchen/dining room, or on the terrace, or in the large garden, the light on the Lake and opposite hillside is always fascinating. The house stands in an acre of grounds, largely rough grass and wood, with a flat lawn (perfect for games) joining the terrace.The main entrance opens onto a hall. In front is the spacious modern kitchen/dining room which is very well equipped. It has built in dishwasher, fridge and freezer, electric hob, double oven and microwave. There is plenty of room for 8 around the dining table. This opens out onto the terrace, perfect for alfresco meals or BBQs. To the left is the large living room, with very comfortable sofas and chairs. This has a stone open hearth fire with oak lintel, TV (with Sky freeview), DVD, and video and of course the most stunning view of Lake Windermere. There are three small bedrooms on this level, two singles and a twin, and a shower/bathroom and separate WC.

Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a second stylish bathroom. This makes it perfect for two families.

Downstairs in the garage below there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, another fridge, and plenty of space to hang wet clothes around the boiler room, and store bikes. There is plenty of parking up the tarmac drive.

Your boat can be moored at the jetty if required, but do ask for further details if you intend to put a boat on the lake.
