As you enter through the door of Fellside Cottage, you're immediately struck by the cosy cottage ambience of this charming property. Attached to the original 18th-century farmhouse, the cottage preserves plenty of character features including original beams. The living area has a feature wooden fireplace with electric wood burner and lovely comfortable seating for 4. The open plan layout leads to the kitchen and dining area where there's plenty of cottage charm plus every modern convenience. There's also a downstairs bathroom with bathtub, shower over, wash basin and WC and a utility room housing the washer and tumble dryer. Upstairs there are two cosy bedrooms, 1 double with a washbasin and beautiful views over the Fells, and one twin bedroom.

One of the real features of Fellside Cottage is its fabulous countryside location and what better way to enjoy it than from your own courtyard, with bench seating and colourful flower tubs and views out over the farm to the fells beyond. There's also off road parking for 2 cars.

Fellside Cottage really encourages you to get away from it all, either walking or riding your bike for which secure storage is provided. For a real challenge, the main Ulverston to Carlisle footpath is just half a mile away and the farm and surrounding countryside are crisscrossed by paths and trails where your only company will be the local flora and fauna.

If you feel the need to venture further afield, Fellside Cottage is located on the fells between Coniston Water and the Duddon Estuary. Windermere is easily accessible and you can spend the day hopping on and off the iconic steamers, allowing you to explore car-free. And don't miss a trip on the newly restored Victorian Steam Yacht Gondola around Coniston Water where Arthur Ransome set his classic Swallows and Amazons books. Visit the Lakeland Motor Museum to find out more about the Campbells and their iconic water speed records. And with some of the best fine dining in Britain, spend your evenings relaxing in a friendly gastropub or restaurant enjoying local specialities like Cumberland sausage!

The bustling village of Coniston can be found at the northern end of Coniston Water, famous for its association with Sir Donald Campbell and Bluebird, and is overlooked by the Old Man of Coniston, the seventh highest mountain in England. The village is in a wonderful setting and is a popular destination for hill walking and rock climbing with fine walks nearby on the Furness Fells and Grizedale Forest. In 1997 Coniston was the first village to be given the title "Village of the Year" and has repeatedly been highly placed in the prestigious award. Coniston is very much a Lakeland village and has a range of shops, pubs and places to eat.
