Vale View has been refurbished to provide contemporary up side down style accommodation making the most of the rural outlook in the most sought after Lakeland village of Hawkshead. The cottage has an open fire to cuddle up to in the winter and the garden is a relaxing base to enjoy out door dining or simply relax whilst watching the sun set over the fells.

I have been staying in Holiday cottages on and off for the past 26 years and I have to say that Vale View is the cleanest one I have ever seen, - it was absolutely spotless, right down to the smallest teaspoon! It is also very conveniently situated for a stroll into Hawkshead village in the evening for a pint! It has good equipment such as Hdtv, CD player with ipod dock and excellent wifi. All in all we were very comfortable there. The only criticisms I could level are the size of the bedrooms, which are very small and the fact that some of the basics, such as salt, pepper, milk, butter, which you expect to find at any cottage on arrival, were absent and the cooking utensils, such as saucepans, etc are insufficient. These are minor issues, but in taking care of them, this rating would have gone from 'very good' to 'excellent.'
