The Briars has spectacular views of the fells and Esthwaite valley. This spacious family home is an ideal base for exploring with opportunities for walks and cycle rides from the door. Grizedale is close by with many forest trails and sculptures while the high mountains are just over the hill. Hawkshead has plenty of choice for eating, drinking and shopping.
The entrance leads into a utility room (washer, dryer) cloakroom - downstairs children's games room with TV, DVD player, books and games, shower room with WC. and a children's bedroom with bunk beds.
Upstairs the large contemporary living room area has a wood burning stove, Satelite TV, DVD, stereo with surround sound system. You can sit and enjoy lovely views across the valley from the large picture window. There is a reading, relaxing area and a large dining table for those big family/group meals.
There is a large Shaker style well equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is 1 Kingsize bedroom, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. A family bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC.
The backdoor leads to the large, enclosed well designed patio area to the side of the property with picnic table and bench.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the house.

We had a fantastic stay at 'The Briars'. The house was perfect - clean, everything we needed, great location and the hot tub was excellent!

We had an excellent week's holiday. The Briars was spacious,comfortable and well equipped with lovely views The younger members of our group made good use of the hot tub and our daughter enjoyed her daily walk with the dog into Hawkshead followed by coffee and a scone at one of the many cafes-a great way to start the day.

Just had a fantastic July week at The Briars in Hawkshead. What a fabulous property, top class. Superb location, walking to distance to village and all amenities including some lovely pubs. House location so quiet and peaceful with lovely views and glimpse of the lake. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return. Very dog friendly and safe for them. No grass in garden area which was the one & only small downside, but lovely fields just a few yards away so you can exercise your dogs in-between the wonderful walks that are in abundance in the area.
