A handsome, three storey Lakeland cottage, welcoming four guests plus two additional children, set in enchanting, undulating surroundings, yet also within reach of Keswick.

Lose yourselves in the scenic beauty of the Lake District when you stay at this handsome, terraced cottage in the heart of the village of Threlkeld. Sleeping four guests, but with space for two extra children, the property makes a great base for a family holiday. Head out on long walks through the Borrowdale and Thirlmere valleys or climb Blencathra, 3 miles away. Visit the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle, 3 miles away, then head into Keswick, 4 miles away, to wander around the shops and perhaps dine out in a pub or restaurant. Take a trip on the scenic lake of Derwentwater or hire a boat and take a picnic with you. Go pony trekking, sailing or canoeing during your stay. Make your way up the step and into this traditional, three bedroom cottage and simply enjoy the comfort and soak up the views. Open the door to find yourselves in a hallway with room to hang coats and leave footwear. Discover a twin room and bathroom, with Jack and Jill access here too. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC, as well as a utility area with a washer/dryer. Venture up to the next level to find the heart of the cottage, a bright, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax on the comfortable seating, gaze out through the picture window and light the wood burner on autumn and winter days. Choose something to watch on the TV with Freeview, or the DVD player, then head through to the kitchen to prepare a holiday feast which includes a fan oven, ceramic hobs, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer in here. Call everyone to eat together at the table. Head up to the top floor to find a king size room, with far reaching views, plus a twin room with beds suitable for children. Both have low, sloping ceilings. There is also a family shower room here with separate WC. Relax out in the sunshine and fresh air of the garden on fine days. Watch children playing on the lawn and dine together on the patio whenever the weather permits. You can park one car in the cottage s garage and a second in the village car park, which has an honesty box. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 twin, 1 king size and 1 twin with children s beds. 2 bathrooms 1 Jack and Jill bathroom with shower over the bath, and 1 shower room with separate WC.
