Moreover, The Lake District is a playground for thrill seekers, from gorge walking, abseiling, white water tubing or the calmer kayaking or archery. From here, attractions are in abundance, including Brougham Castle (The Windsor of the North), Long Meg and her daughters (the 3rd largest stone circle in England) and the historic city of Carlisle.
