The open-plan living space has contemporary features, with spotlight ceilings and a skylight window. Unwind on the sofa in front of the TV and savour mealtimes together at the dining table with a glass of wine. There is a fully-equipped kitchen to ease your self-catered stay, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.     Owners were very welcoming and friendly. Property is quite hard to find due to slightly remote location so I'd advise just contacting the owner for directions as the sat nav will take you the wrong way. Game's room was great fun with darts and pool.

    It was easy to get around the region to see the lakes and Pennine hills. There are lots of places to eat out on Penrith and the flat's kitchen had pretty much everything you need to self cater. The bed was very comfortable and we had no issues that needed help, but a lovely welcome from Jayne ensured we knew how to get help if needed

    The only thing I would add is that it would be helpful in the directions to say that you need to drive under the bridge. In the dark it became a bit confusing, because it was an unmarked road and the sat nav told us we had arrived, when we still had another 400 metres or so. It was definitely worth it when we got there!
