A 3 mile walk from the quiet village of Yanwath follows the River Eamont, crossing the river near Tirril and continues into Penrith, where there are shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants a plenty. Ullswater is 3 miles away where there is some fantastic hill walking along the High Street ridge, or you can hire rowing boats, motorboats and canoes to explore the tiny islands on the Lake. 9 miles away, Aira Force waterfalls are well worth a visit as is the stunning Lowther Castle, its gardens and adventure playground, 4 miles away. Located in Europe s largest grass covered building, Rhegad is 5 miles away and has independent shops, cafés, an exhibition centre and a large 3D cinema. The local pub is 1 mile away and renowned for its excellent food and delightful atmosphere. All on one level and furnished to a high standard with all modern conveniences, this pine lodge is light, spacious and characterful with plenty of stylish interior delights. Enter into the lobby where you can discard your muddy boots and damp coats before heading into the open plan living space. The hub of the house, there is ample space to gather everyone together after a busy day out. Large windows provide superb views across the countryside to the Pennines and Eden Valley. The large L shaped sofa is ideal for resting walk weary legs and watching a film, reading a book or playing a board game, with the room taking on a cosy atmosphere once the wood burner is lit. Gather to dine at the table set to the large bay window with a window seat, enjoying lovely garden views with your meals. The kitchen has a full sized dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and electric cooker with double oven and induction hob, and a high level drying rack for drying clothes. The spacious and light king size bedroom has an en suite shower room, and both this room and the twin room have a fitted wardrobe. There is a bunk room and a shower room with a large power shower. Outside, the lodge is surrounded by lawned gardens, landscaped with native species, hedges and a number of trees. A delightful conservatory is accessed directly from the living area provides a great place for watching the birdlife over a morning cup of coffee, or an evening glass of wine.
