About this property

Daisy Cottage is a finely finished barn conversion in the small village of Penruddock on the edge of the Lake District. The largest of three adjoining cottages, this comfortable property offers spacious family accommodation ideal for a peaceful holiday exploring the lakes in Cumbria. On the ground floor, the large lounge throws back to the original seventeenth-century farmhouse with its feature stone fireplace and beamed ceilings. The room has an airy and light atmosphere and has been lovingly refurbished to a high standard. Next to the living space is a beautifully crafted family farmhouse kitchen, with all the necessary amenities and dining furniture to keep the whole family well fed in comfort and full-length doors offering views of the beautiful countryside. Upstairs are three bedrooms; two stylish and traditional doubles, with an additional single room, all serviced by a generous family bathroom.

Outside of the cottage, there is generous parking in a gravelled paddock area. This well-crafted area offers secure shared space with charming feature garden furniture for outdoor dining. Penruddock is a peaceful village that offers two inns within a mile's journey, but a short drive to the east will bring you to Penrith and all the amenities necessary for your holiday. The location of this cottage is perfect for a Lake District holiday. Ullswater is a short drive away, or further west lies Keswick, a charming market town nestled amongst the mountains and the perfect spot for a touch of boating on Derwentwater. Ideally situated for exploring the northern half of the Lake District National Park, Daisy Cottage offers high-quality accommodation for a peaceful holiday in Cumbria.

Greystoke is full of history, being home to a number of 17th century cottages, and is only 5 miles from Penrith. Situated on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park, there is plenty to do for those who love the outdoors. Nearby is the town of Keswick, offering a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as numerous activities including the popular Theatre on the Lake. Visit Penrith and explore the remains of Lowther Castle. With lots to do, Greystoke is a great location for those looking to getaway.
