The close proximity of the Lake gives holidaymakers the opportunity to try a variety of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, boat hire and fishing. Blanton House was originally used as stables for the horses and coaches which visited the Sun Inn, opposite Blanton House and is ideally located in the centre of the popular village of Pooley Bridge just 400 meters from the shore of Lake Ullswater and within 1 mile of Park Foot Holiday Park. The stables have been converted to a high standard to provide 2 cottages, Stable Cottage being 2 bedroomed and Coach House having 3 bedrooms.

Situated at the northern tip of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge is a traditional village with pub, shops, cafes and restaurants. Twenty minutes drive over Kirkstone Pass brings you to Ambleside and within a 10 minute drive of the motorway means the whole of Cumbria is easily accessible.
