About this property

Nestled in the rolling countryside of the beautiful Lake District National Park, is this superb white stone house. Inside, the property has been renovated to provide a contemporary base for friends and families seeking a rural break, whilst still managing to retain some of its original features such as the sloped wooden floors and exposed beams. The property has two sitting rooms to choose from, with the first being an exceptional place to curl up on the provided corner sofa and use this for some quality time together discussing the day's events, or as a quiet space to enjoy some reading. Step through to the main open-plan living space, where you can relax and unwind with your loved ones, catching up with your favourite shows, or enjoying a family movie night. To the back is a large fitted kitchen, housing all the appliances you could need to rustle up some delicious meals and gather at the dining table to enjoy your meals over a well-deserved glass of wine. Follow the staircase up to the first floor and discover four bedrooms, comprising of one room with a 17th century four poster bed, a double bedroom with ensuite, a twin bedroom and a family room with a super-king bed and a children's bunk and en-suite shower room. The bedrooms have a range of modern furnishings, which complement the light decor, and offer an abundance of space to store your personal items. Two of the bedrooms benefit from en-suite shower rooms, whilst the family bathroom provides an elegant corner bath so you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the tub and Jack-and-Jill access providing use by the middle bedroom. Make sure to take advantage of the external games room with a pool table and a beer fridge for your convenience. While you're in the area, make sure to visit Lowther Castle & Gardens, an imposing castle ruins, set in beautiful landscaped gardens or the medieval building Broughham Castle for a spot of history inside. Carhullan is a wonderful choice for a rural break to this picturesque part of Cumbria. Ullswater provides a very popular area for exciting outdoor activities, including canoeing, rock climbing, ridge walking and abseiling to name but a few and there are many charming Lakeland villages scattered all around, worthy of a visit, and the lofty peaks provide all the inspiration one needs for wonderful walks.
