The property is dog-friendly and has a local pub nearby, providing a comfortable base for a holiday in a quiet village close to Penrith.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the property clean upon arrival, while others reported issues with pet odours, unclean sofas, and general untidiness. The presence of both positive and negative comments leads to a slightly above average score.

The location is frequently praised for its quiet setting in a village, proximity to Penrith, and good access to the North Lakes. The local pub is also mentioned positively, contributing to a high score for location.

Guests generally found the property comfortable, with adequate sleeping arrangements and a cosy living space. However, some noted worn furniture and issues with a mezzanine bed, leading to a slightly reduced score.

Facilities like the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as broken fixtures and unreliable Wi-Fi. The mixed feedback results in a score that reflects room for improvement.

There is insufficient information regarding the presence of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. As such, this category cannot be scored.

We have been to this cottage five times Unfortunately it has seemed to has lost the comfortable beds and shower not working properly hot one minute then freezing but if these issues was resolved would definitely come back as it does feel like home from home with been so many times before thanks Mrs Robinson

Bedrooms were clean. The main bathroom off the landing had quite a few black mood spots on the ceiling. In the main bedroom suite(under the stairs) the double socket was dangerous/sparks….and we had a three year old with us! We did have an issue with the boiler/hot water but this was easily rectified with the owner. Great outlook at the front and back of the barn, quiet location and really good base for all parts of the lakes including walking distance into Penrith.
