From the moment we booked, it was really easy and straightforward. The grounds were amazing and even though we didn't have great weather we were able to enjoy the fire pit and bbq a few times. The bed was really comfy and the amount of amenities in a small space was incredible. Didn't have any problems with the solar power, once we found the switch to turn the plugs on LOL. Shower was lovely and good strength. The sound of the water flowing from the stream was so relaxing and our resident pheasant and his harem were our entertainment. Would love to come back and would highly recommend!!

The hut itself is a nice small, intimate space in a forest, you get plenty of privacy in comparison to glamping sites. The hosts were lovely and very responsive and left us a cute welcome basket filled with snacks and other groceries. There was an abundance of firewood to keep us warm. I would recommend checking the weather in advance of your stay and being emotionally prepared not to have connectivity in the area. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were relocated to Oak Retreats. There was no wifi at the site or any phone connectivity unless you stepped outside which was a bit frustrating - considering the weather.

Excellent communication from start to finish! Christine is professional and helpful with all emails! Elm retreat is a delight! Clean. Comfortable. Well equipped. The little welcome package was well received and had some lovely local produce! We will return to sample another of the huts!! A great few days away in a rural peaceful place.
