The delicate balance between elegance and comfort makes this a perfect space to unwind.
A comfortably furnished king-size bedroom looks out onto a narrow but delightful courtyard, which has a small outdoor table - great for enjoying your morning coffee. The spacious en-suite bathroom has a spa feel, with its Moroccan tiled floor and a large shower with luxurious waterfall effect shower head. The large sink space with lit mirror is great for those wanting to glam up for a night out in Keswick.
The apartment is located in a quiet part of the town yet it is just a 5-minute walk into the market square of Keswick where an abundance of pubs, cafes, restaurants and local shops make this a great place for browsing and relaxing. Don't miss Keswick's regular market, on Thursdays and Saturdays, where you can sample a range of local produce. The famous Alhambra Cinema is also just a short stroll away and a 15-minute walk will take you to Crow Park on the northern shore line of Derwentwater, where you can visit the Theatre by the Lake, take the Keswick Launch or simply have a stroll along the beautiful lake shore.
Five shallow steps lead from the pavement to the shared front door with the upstairs apartment which is also a holiday let. When you go through the front door, you enter a small shared porch area and the door to your apartment is on the left. You enter straight into the living room; a bright and welcoming space with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings means you'll feel instantly at home here. The lovely living area has a two-seater sofa and a single armchair next to the large bay window with fantastic wooden shutter. For entertainment there's a basket of books, a large flatscreen TV and Wi-Fi. There is also a space with a desk and chair, for those needing to keep in touch with work - or just write a postcard or two to tell everyone back home about your Lake District adventures.
The spacious living area leads through to an equally spacious kitchen area with a large dining table, so the non-cook can keep the chef company. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob, oven, micro/grill/combi microwave, large toaster, kettle, fridge, separate three-drawer freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and large sink area. This sociable space is perfect for evenings in.
A corridor leads from living area through to the king-size bedroom - be sure to check out the hidden artwork as you go. There is also a storage cupboard in the corridor containing an ironing board, iron, clothes airer and shoe rack. The bedroom is stylishly furnished with a feature wooden king-size bed, large wardrobe, two bedside tables with lamps and a side table. A hair dryer is also provided in one of the bedside tables.
Patio doors open from the bedroom out onto a small outdoor area. There is a bistro-style table with two chairs, where you can enjoy a relaxing morning coffee. There is also an outside light if you are wanting to sit out of an evening, as well as a handy outdoor tap for cleaning your boots after a day out in the mountains.
A door leads directly from the bedroom into a beautifully decorated bathroom. With Moroccan tiled floor, ample cupboard and sink space for toiletries, a toilet and a large shower with two shower heads (one waterfall effect shower head and one standard), this is a wonderfully relaxing space. There is also a useful heated towel rail.
