Fabulous walking routes are available straight from your door including the Miterdale forest trail and Wasdale. The La'al Ratty, Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway passes nearby too, running from Ravenglass (7 miles) to Dalegarth (2 miles). The Eskdale Trail follows the same route, so you could take your bike on board and cycle back to the cottage. Keen walkers can enjoy a hike to Stanley Ghyll Waterfall (4.5 miles), while seasoned climbers will relish the challenge of Scafell Pike, 9 miles away. If you’re looking for a beach day or strolls in the fresh sea air, head to the pretty coastal village of Seascale, 8 miles from the cottage.
