Excellent location for exploring the western fells,central heating could be better back bedroom cold even with the heating on, it could be more clearer on rubbish and recycling as no bins on site ,apart from that a lovely cosy place will be back next year

Starting with the positives, the caravan was very clean and well presented. It had a comfortable bed and a good shower which are important factors for me. The location was great as the site was quiet when we visited and it is an easy walk into Cockermouth. The information pack provided in the caravan was very generic with very little information specific to the location. More info on the caravan site and local dog walks would have been helpful as would info on what to do with rubbish/recycling and how equipment in the caravan worked. Unfortunately, two issues experienced mean we cannot recommend this property until they are resolved. When we arrived there had been torrential rain all day. This made the decking very slippy to the extent it was dangerous. There was no warning about this and could easily be fixed by cleaning it. The caravan was also very cold in the bedroom overnight, even with the heating on full all night. The end wall of the caravan was soft and spongy under the vinyl covering after the heavy rain, I suspect there is a damp problem that needs to be addressed. It was so cold and damp we ended up sleeping in the lounge area rather than the bedroom.

Had a lovely time at the Haven. The area is lovely and the caravan was clean and had everything you needed for a quiet getaway but found there was no mattress or pillow protection on any of the beds which I would have expected with it being a rental property.
