It had everything you could want for a stay even bird food in the shed for the feeders ! . So comfortable and well laid out excellent property would highly recommend it . Its s good 20min walk into cockermouth so really quiet day and night . Opposite the entrance is the cemetery if you walk through there to the old railway line , turn left follow that till a big bridge over the river , go down some steps to the river and follow it into town . Nicer and easier than the road .

Short walk to town and with the benefit of two parking spaces….bedrooms are of generous size. It was ideal for us as our son and family live 2 minutes away. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carpenter’s Cottage and hope to be back. Many thanks to everyone involved. Maggie Greer

Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. We feel relaxed and at home from the moment we arrive. Hope to return again.
