Take advantage of warmer days and fire up the barbecue to enjoy grilled delights alfresco, followed by an indulgent soak in the hot tub as you admire your idyllic setting. After a day of exploring, prepare for bed in the well-appointed shower room, before climbing into the sumptuous double bed to snuggle up with a good book or drift off into a restful slumber. Gosforth is a small village in beautiful Lakeland countryside with a scattering of traditional cottages, farm dwellings, and pubs serving good food. The village forges links far back into history and proudly displays the tallest and oldest Viking Cross in England, as well as many treasures, including the incredible Hogsback Tombs. The nearby valleys of Eskdale, Wasdale, and Dunnerdale provide breathtaking scenery, as do the towering peaks of Scafell, England's highest peak, as well as Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell, and Muncaster Fell. Muncaster Castle, the World Owl Centre, and the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature railway are just a few of the local attractions. This fantastic location offers something for everyone.

Pod was fantastic, very pleased, lovely location, owner was very nice and polite, the only negative is there is no signage at location to find it off main road, but the owner messaged and said he would meet us at the entrance

The fire pit area could have been cleaner, knowing we were bringing a dog.. they generally will try and eat anything lying about. There was foil (?) and the metal opener of a champagne bottle along with the cork, all of which could have caused serious injury to our puppy. I know Pods are basic, but a set of hooks inside would have been useful for coats and towels and maybe a small clothes rail to at least hang them. Didnât matter to us too much as we were only there 3 nights, but any longer would have been annoying. Also, some sort of lighting around the side where the hot tub is would have been really helpful, especially getting out of it when it had gone dark! If Iâm being picky, a fence around the pod and grass area would have helped a lot, meaning we could let our dog off the lead and not worry about her wandering off. But overall a good fun experience

Anything needed he was happy to help. The cabin was full of everything you could need from cutlery, to a chopping board and BBQ utensils. I couldn't recommend this place enough for anybody looking for a nice relaxing getaway, and the drive around to the lakes is pleasant enough to get to and from. Will definitely be back!
