There is also a contemporary kitchen, utility room, family bathroom and three comfortable bedrooms. Outside there are ample lawns and a patio area, perfect for enjoying this rural location. This quieter side of the Lake District has some of the most breathtaking scenery close by including Eskdale and Wasdale Head. Scafell is England’s highest peak and together with Ben Nevis and Snowdon is one of the mountains climbed as part of the Three Peaks Challenge. The Ravenglass and Eskdale steam railway travels 7 miles up the valley from Ravenglass right to Boot Station and is a delightful way to explore this beautiful area. Whatever your reason to visit the area, this cottage will provide superb accommodation at any time of the year.

The small village of Gosforth sits amongst beautiful Lakeland countryside and consists of a scattering of traditional cottages, farm dwellings, a Post Office, and pubs serving good food. The village forges links far back into the history books and proudly shows the tallest, and oldest Viking Cross in England, plus the church holds many treasures not least the amazing Hogsback Tombs.
