An enchanting holiday home for four, nestled in a peaceful, country setting, ideal for fell walking and exploring the magnificent northern section of the Lake District National Park.

Immerse yourselves in the serenity of this corner of the Lake District, with a stay at this two bedroom holiday home. Up to four guests and one dog are welcome to stay at the cottage, which could suit two couples. Situated near Hesket Newmarket, the stone property makes a great base from which to head out on foot. Lace up your boots and hike to Carrock Fell and High Pike, less than 1 mile from the cottage. Attempt a 9 mile hike or drive 11.5 miles to Bassenthwaite Lake, renowned for its wildlife, including its nesting ospreys. Venture 15 miles into Keswick or Penrith to shop for local produce, go to the cinema or even catch a play at the theatre. Enter this single storey abode via the porch, which has space for a bicycle or two to lean; then make your way into the hall to leave your outerwear, before finding your way to the airy lounge/kitchen/diner with its vaulted ceiling. Stoke up the wood burner in here; gaze out at the glorious views or plan an evening s viewing on the Smart TV, which comes with Freeview. Throw open the double doors on to the garden on warm days to let a cool breeze in or to wander outside.The kitchen area has an electric oven with grill and electric hob, a microwave, fridge with freezer section, toaster and kettle, as well as a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bathroom is next to the lounge/kitchen/diner and features a corner bath, with a shower above and WC. The comfortable twin bedroom, with a glass topped stable door, is also close by, while an inviting double bedroom with en suite shower room is located off the hall. Absorb the tranquillity out in the pretty garden, down a couple of steps, whenever the sun shines. Dine out here and watch children and your pup playing on the lawn.
