Latrigg is a traditional pine lodge cabin at Burnside Park, just 0.5 mile away from Keswick. In a secluded position with extensive views from the deck overlooking open fields to the fells beyond. Latrigg is a welcoming retreat for six guests, in three bedrooms, two double and one single plus room for an infant in travel cot if needed. With pine dining table and chairs, and leather sofas around the TV and log-effect electric fire, you’ll find room to relax, plan your day on the fells, and enjoy your break here. Outside the deck looks into the distance to the fells, great for a morning coffee or evening glass of something.

On the outskirts of the ‘capital of the north Lakes’ Keswick, Burnside Park is a development of traditional pine log cabins, at the foot of Latrigg Fell – which you can walk up and gain lovely views over Keswick, and not far from Skiddaw one of the top 5 highest mountains in the Lakes. The Park is situated in landscaped gardens, with streams running through and magnificent views of the awesome fells all around. Just 0.5 miles from the town centre, a flat walk into town brings you all the delights of this bustling town – award winning twice weekly market, plenty of pubs, restaurants, bars and shops, and of course the beautiful shores of Derwentwater, with walks, cafes, shops, and the stunning Theatre by the Lake.

You could book a break at Latrigg Lodge and not need to use your car, there is so much to do in walking distance. On your walk into town you’ll pass The Filling Station – renowned American-style diner and a haunt of cyclists and motor cyclists and opposite the café, the Pheasant Inn, a traditional Jennings pub. If you do wish to go further afield, Bassenthwaite Lake is a short drive away, with woodland walks and osprey viewing, and the Lakes Distillery is worth a visit, for whisky tours and its bistro. Latrigg Lodge is in a fabulous location to explore the stunning North Lake District.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.

Three Bedrooms: 1 x double with ensuite shower room with WC, basin, heated towel rail, 2 x full size twins with bedside drawers & storage, family bathroom with ¾ size bath, over bath electric thermostatic shower, basin and WC, open plan living space with fitted kitchen, dining area, outside decking with furniture.

Full electric central heating.

Ceramic hob and electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, blu-ray player, iPod dock and radio, selection of family board games and books/dvds, fast broadband connection to allow streaming, two secure ground bike anchors next to lodge.

Parking for two cars.

Please note that the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at this lodge, the nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Keswick.
Fuel and power included in rent.

Bed linen and towels included in rent (please bring any leisure towels).

A travel cot and high chair is provided in the lodge for you to put up (please bring your own cot bedding).
