The cottage is arranged over the first and second floors of what was once the coachman’s quarters of a nearby Victorian residence. Now a glorious holiday home featuring a wonderful collection of locally sourced artwork, sumptuous furnishings and stylish décor. Luxurious but not ostentatious, Farrier House is a magical place in which to spend precious time with special people. Outside there is private parking for one car, and on-street parking for additional vehicles.

The front door opens into a hallway with plenty of space for muddy boots and outdoor gear, and from here stairs lead up to the first floor living space. The sitting room is bright and welcoming with carefully chosen sofas and armchairs arranged round the charming fireplace, luxury wall to wall carpets and a taste of the wonderful artwork which runs throughout the whole property. The owners have chosen a restful palate of natural colours which highlight the room’s sense of calm. The contemporary kitchen/dining room has clearly been planned by a keen cook and is equipped to the highest standard.

There are three super bedrooms to choose from. The first floor master bedroom with a heavenly king size bed and roof top views to Derwentwater, while on the second floor are two divine doubles, family bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and wc, as well as a separate luxury shower room with powerful shower, basin and wc. This is a magical house in one of the more peaceful areas of the Lake District.
