We will certainly be considering returning later in the year. Can't understand other visitors 'picky' criticisms at all. This is a shame if it has put other prospective visitors off.

It was caught on the underside. Therefore we were told to find street parking. We are 89 and 84 and found this very difficult having to search for a parking place. Not at all what we wanted. We couldn’t understand why we weren’t offered another space with different bollard. On our departure it was particularly difficult having to walk a long distance to get car then nowhere to put car when we were going up and down fire escape stairs. Then having to carry all our things right across car park.we had planned to pop things in the car the day before each time we went out.

Property had plenty of daytime living space. Although it had a limited number of windows and being in the middle of town you were still awarded with views towards Skiddaw to the north. Beds were comfortable although bedrooms were a little on the small side. Kitchen had everything you needed. The bathroom does need some attention as other reviewers have reported. Getting in and out of the bath for a shower could prove to be a bit risky due to the height of the bath. I think some fixed steps up to the bath and a handrail is needed. Toilet roll holder was loose. The electric kitchen bin was broken and didn't have any batteries in it. Fridge door hindge needs some attention due to grinding noise unless you lifted it as you closed it. A long handled sweeping brush would have been handy. The corridor leading out from the front door was filthy and had not been cleaned or swept. One of the PS4 controller docking stations was broken and the response from the remote control for the apps was a bit frustrating. The allocated car parking space wasn't obvious when we arrived. Needs a photo or better description on the property information. Extractor fans from the restaurant downstairs and the hotel next door were a bit noisy from in the bedrooms until about 11pm. Some banging noises were heard in the loft when it was windy for a couple of nights. Not sure of the two upside down electric sockets in one of the alcoves. Just having two three pin holes in the plaster whether this is okay or not. We would however, rent the place again purely on its location despite some little niggles as generally the property was ideal and served our needs for the week.
