Whether for business holidays or some social event nearby The Newnham White House makes you welcome in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We are surrounded by countryside but only a few minutes away from mainline stations and a mile away from the A1M.

There are great country walks and the historic village of Ashwell with its welcoming hostelries is only a couple of miles across the fields by footpath or a couple of minutes drive.

Our rooms are furnished to a high standard and provide a comfortable friendly and relaxed environment. The room on offer is a large private double with en-suite (bath only no shower).

There is free wi-fi in all rooms and plenty of private parking.

There is no smoking in the house.

We offer a choice of full English or Continental Breakfast. All our food is locally sourced.

There is a fine choice of pubs and restaurants within a short driving distance for evening or lunchtime meals.

Directions to The Newnham White House B&B

We are on the outskirts of the village of Newnham on the road to Ashwell 2.8 miles from the market town of Baldock.

Junction 10 of the A1M is 1.5 miles away. Junction 23 of the M25 is 30 minutes drive and Junction 13 of the M1 is a 40 minute drive. London is 1 1.5 hours away by car.

The nearest mainline train station is Baldock ( 40 minutes to London )

If travelling from the A1M leave the motorway at junction 10 following the A507 to Baldock. Turn right at the service station round about and continue down that road for 200 yards before turning left to Newnham & Ashwell. Continue down this road to the village of Newnham. On entering the village take the right hand turn at the T-junction and continue through the village. You will pass some large barns on your left and the White House is the next house on your left. It is in fact yellow! however you will see The White House clearly signed on the gate.
