Take a leisurely short walk down a grass footpath to the Hamlet of Toppesfield (0.5 miles), where you'll find a dog-friendly pub, community brewery and a community shop. Just 1.5 miles away lies the delightful village of Great Yeldham, home to several welcoming pubs, one with a renowned restaurant, a village shop, a park, and an independent distillery offering captivating tours and delightful tastings. The quaint village of Finchingfield is only 5.5 miles away and well worth a trip. For a great day out, visit the miniature railway at Colne Valley Railway (2.5 miles). The nearby village of Castle Hedingham (4 miles) boasts an iconic Norman castle welcoming visitors year-round with a diverse range of events. Colchester Zoo, a fantastic family destination, awaits just 20 miles from the lodge. Braintree Designer Village is just a 13-mile drive away, for favourite designer outlet brands and grabbing a bargain.

This family-friendly, single-storey lodge is a great countryside retreat with plenty of activities both on site as well as in the local area. The lodge offers a modern studio-style space with a fully equipped kitchen, a foldaway dining table and chairs, and a Smart TV. A comfy sofa can be used as a sofa bed upon request, for versatile sleeping options. There is also a dedicated bedroom area with a delightful double bed and a bunk bed that is ideal for children. This area can be separated by a curtain for cosiness and comfort. There is also a convenient, modern shower room. The lodge is a great place to base yourself and explore from.

This woodland lodge offers a fully enclosed garden with a fire pit, private hot tub, gas BBQ and access to a shared tennis court. There is also a lovely wraparound veranda that hosts deckchairs for soaking up the sun and a picnic table for enjoying your meals outside. You can even bring your dog along for the holiday to enjoy this excellent countryside escape.

parking: There is a dedicated parking area for the lodges which is before you enter the Woodland Area; this ensures the area remains car free and safe for animals & children. We supply carts to carry your luggage from your car to the lodge. If you need assistance with the carts, we may be able to help IF this is organised prior to your stay (approx 150yards from carpark to lodge).
