About this property

Hillcrest is a charming redbrick semi-detached property, lovingly wrapped up in the Nottinghamshire countryside, in a small hamlet known as Cottam, near Retford. With horses grazing in the fields nearby and the sounds of wildlife all around, you can bring your other half, or a group of friends, to indulge in this beautiful location. You have cycling routes right on the doorstep and an extensive garden to enjoy the summer evenings. You will get a true feel for the property as you step inside and are welcomed into the kitchen, home to a dining table in one corner, and a selection of appliances to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Spoil yourselves to an afternoon tea, which you can order from the owners who have their very own catering business preparing delicious baked goods. An evening or two can be whiled away in the living room in front of the cosy electric fire, with the TV providing some light entertainment before heading up to bed. Upstairs, find two bright and airy super-king size bedrooms, one of which can be twins on request should you prefer this layout. You will find the bathroom back on the ground floor next to the utility, where a bubble bath can be enjoyed after a long day trekking the area, as well as hosting a shower over, basin and WC. Original beams add character and charm to this property, and double doors open out onto the beautiful garden. Take advantage of the outdoor space by enjoying a spot of al fresco dining on the patio while you canine companion runs and stretches on the luscious lawn. There is plenty to see and do all around, with the enchanting Sherwood Forest close by, home to the Major Oak and the legend of Robin Hood. Well equipped, comfortable cottage with a large fenced garden, plenty of storage in a tranquil setting. Welcome pack a bonus. Afternoon tea was delicious, with some lovely touches... would advise to order with a few days to spare as so bountiful you need time to enjoy the cakes for more than one session! Lovely to see the horses doing their thing. Thank you Nicola x
