The Old Hayloft is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and ideal location for exploring Sheffield, the Peaks, and local amenities. Guests appreciate the peaceful farm setting, modern amenities, and the thoughtful touches provided by the friendly hosts, Anna and Chris. The property is well-furnished and provides a homely and relaxing atmosphere, making it a recommended choice for a tranquil getaway.
Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'incredibly clean' with 'brand new appliances'. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The property's location is frequently highlighted as perfect for exploring both the city and countryside, with easy access to shops, cafes, and main roads. Its proximity to the Peak District and local attractions adds to its appeal.
Reviewers find The Old Hayloft comfortable, noting the 'very comfortable bed', 'excellent black-out blinds', and the quiet, relaxing farm environment. The accommodation is well-received for both its comfort and homely feel.
Facilities are modern and user-friendly, with a well-equipped kitchen and good parking. However, some minor maintenance issues like a bathroom shelf and entrance light needing attention prevent a perfect score.
While guests mention the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts, there is no specific reference to gifts or special thoughtful gestures that could be quantified. Therefore, while the hosts are commended for their approachability and assistance, it is not possible to score this category.

A gentle stroll from the doorstep you will find many facilities, both old and new, with numerous local shops, restaurants and amenities. Dronfield lies midway between the vibrant city of Sheffield and the historic market town of Chesterfield, on the outskirts of The Peak District. Historically, the town has great significance, and the Grade I listed Church of St John the Baptist is testament to this as it has stood at the centre of this community since the 12th century.
Situated between the Peak District National Park and the city of Sheffield, while close by is the historic town of Chesterfield which is most notable for its famous crooked spire of St Mary and All Saints Church. The impressive Damflask, Agden, Dale Dike and Ladybower dams make for an interesting afternoon’s ramble, while the attractive village of Hathersage, thought to be the inspiration for Charlotte Bronte’s ’Jane Eyre’, is also within easy reach and is home to a selection of shops, pubs and inviting eateries, plus an outdoor lido. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, whilst the historic and ever popular town of Bakewell and the rest of the Peak District, are within a short drive.

We enjoyed our short break with our two dogs, Holly and Theo. The Old Hayloft is lovely, well furnished, clean, comfortable and we settled in straight away. The location is excellent for exploring and walking. We've been to Padley Gorge and we're going to Curbar Edge today. Anna and Chris were very friendly and helpful. Thank you. We would highly recommend the property.

This was an ideal location for me to be near my family and twin grandchildren. The Guest Book at the house was very detailed and informative and really valuable for me to have in an unknown area of Sheffield. Thank you.
