Dronfield has an unusual landmark - the Peel Monument on High Street which was built in 1854 as a tribute to Robert Peel, the monument commemorates his repeal of the Corn Laws in 1846.

    Really pretty shame we weren’t staying longer. Huge, lots of space. Couple of bits, with a 10 am check-out it was a bit of a rush striping beds and sorting recycling. Most places have a noon check out, 11 earliest. There was no wood for the burner. Though we had hoped not to want a fire in June! Shame we needed it!! A cafetière or coffee machine and pods in the kitchen would be good, so we could make a good coffee when we arrived, maybe a pint of milk. Nowhere has welcome packs anymore. After a 5 and a half hour drive we had to go straight back out for milk and tea/coffee. Otherwise amazing kitchen. Overall fantastic.

    The property was very clean (important to us) and met our needs perfectly. The only minor piece of feedback is that pillows in the larger bedroom were quite lumpy / uncomfortable. That aside the cleanliness, layout, items supplied, location and communication from the owners was superb and I have recommended the place to friends already.

    Comfortable, well equipped gardens front and back are lovely. Well placed for days out either by car or train 6min walk to train station. Anne-Marie and Craig friendly and helpful. Folder was useful we went to 3 of the places they recommended. Will definitely stay again.
