Guests say

Post Office Cottage receives high praise for its cosy charm, cleanliness, and well-equipped amenities. Guests appreciate its picturesque village location, proximity to local attractions, and friendly pub nearby. Thoughtful touches such as essentials and occasional treats add to the warm welcome, though these are not guaranteed. While the cottage’s character and quirky layout are loved by many, the low ceilings and multiple internal steps may not suit taller guests or those with limited mobility. Overall, it offers a peaceful and relaxing base for exploring the Peak District, with most guests eager to return.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with numerous guests describing the cottage as spotlessly clean, tidy, and well maintained throughout their stay.

The location is highly rated, with guests enjoying the pretty village setting, easy access to walks, local attractions, and a welcoming pub just across the road.

The cottage is widely described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with quality beds and a homely atmosphere. Some guests note that low ceilings and internal steps may affect comfort for taller guests or those with mobility issues.

Facilities are praised for being comprehensive and well thought out, including a well-equipped kitchen and open fire. Some minor suggestions for improvement include adding a freezer and addressing the twin room door and back door step.

Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers, a bar of chocolate, and a supply of essentials like tea, coffee, and cleaning products. Please note, these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
