This charming holiday cottage sits alongside Cromford Mill Pond and the centre of this historic village. From inside or out you can relax and watch the wild fowl cruise the pond. The pond was used to feed the Arkwright Mill and the wheel is still turning. An ideal location with excellent walks nearby leading to Black Rocks, High Peak Trail, Cromford Mills and canal. Carsington Water with watersports and birdwatching is within easy reach. Matlock Bath only 1 mile and Abraham Heights and Gullivers Kingdom. Matlock for antiques and shops is 2 miles. Visit the old market town of Bakewell and sample the famous Bakewell pudding in one of the many tea rooms. Just a few miles from here is Chatsworth House and medieval Haddon Hall. Shop and pub 50 yards, restaurant 100 yards.

Ideally located for all public transport. Train station around a 15 minute walk away. Well equipped cottage and the milk & biscuits were really appreciated. The fans came in handy during the hot weather. Perfectly positioned for walks in the vicinity. Lovely to watch the birds & sunset from the cottage. Local store & Robinson's fish & chips on the doorstep. Hope to return soon.

Great cottage, extremely clean and homely and well equipped. We had a lovely stay in Mill Pond Cottage and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend the Barley Mow for food in nearby Bonsall.

Lovely little cottage. Very well equipped and nice touches from the owner ie fresh flowers milk in the fridge and ice in the freezer. Very welcome in this hot weather. The only drawback was a very tight parking space which was difficult to get in and out of in a larger car. I think if you could leave the car in the car parking front in of the cottages it would cause less stress.
