Another of the town s unique attractions is the National Stone Centre (1.4 miles), which offers activities such as gem panning and fossil casting. There is even a traditional steam railway, complete with Victorian station cafe. Bakewell, Ashbourne, Dovedale, Matlock Bath (home to Gullivers Kingdom Theme Park), Chatsworth, and Haddon Hall are all within 12 miles.
