In the heart of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Corridor, Wharf is a really fantastic cottage that provides beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable accommodation. Sitting close by the Cromford Canal, the imposing former Wharf Manager's House has been painstakingly restored so you can live in those bygone days yet revel in every modern luxury.

Set on the old wharf, there are lots and lots of adventures to have in and around Sir Richard Arkwright's industrial revolution village. Cromford Mill will transport you back in time. Masson Mills with their heritage centre are well worth a visit. Save an afternoon to explore the old streets and alleyways in the village or wander along the leafy canal feeding the ducks.

Walk in the opposite direction and you are soon in Matlock Bath with its little Switzerland gorge, cable cars, caverns, interesting shops and riverside prom. This is the true 'gateway' to the Peak District with its myriad of attractions like Chatsworth House, famous Bakewell, sparkling river valleys and breath-taking grit stone edges.
