Oakleigh is a stylishly finished property, and furnished to a high standard making this a wonderful place to base yourself for an exciting holiday while enjoying all that the surrounding areas has to offer. The open plan living space compromises of a galley style kitchen, unique living area with patio doors opening into the gardens, giving views of the lovely wooded hillside. There are two cosy bedrooms and modern bathroom completes the property.
Holymoorside is a small, rural village situated around 4 miles from Chesterfield. This lovely village is in peaceful countryside and has three churches and two pubs and sits on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Nearby Chesterfield is famous for its crooked spire and offering a large range of facilities including shops, restaurants, cafés, cinema, bowling, swimming, gyms and Walton golf club although private they do accept visitors. Oakleigh provides a great holiday base for discovering the many attractions and activities available in the Peak District. Within a 10 miles radius there is Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Matlock Bath with cable car to the heights of Abraham, Darley Dale steam railway and the Crich tramway museum to name but a few. A little further afield you will discover picturesque villages including Ashford-in-the-Water, Eyam plague village, Winster and Castleton with its caverns and castle and Buxton spa town.
There are many countryside walks and cycle routes that can be taken straight from the doorstep over the local hills and moors from this wonderful holiday accommodation at any time of the year.

Great cottage on the edge of the Peak national park.Friendly hosts. Nice backdrop to the park with pleasant garden and patio. The smaller bedroom could be noisy at night due to passing vehicles..Very well equipped with fridge freezer, washer/drier and dishwasher. Good TV reception.Bathroon well equipped however not suitable for infirm person as shower over bath (bath has integral seat).Close to Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth.

I can not praise this cottage enough.It is set with beautiful views from tbe lounge .The owner made feel more than welcome, they thought of every little thing even an Easter cake along with easter egg for my daughter. With horse un the field at the bottom if the garden and a farm made my daughters holidayWill be definitely returning next year
