Guests say

Hillcrest is a well-received holiday cottage in Chesterfield, praised for its ample space, spa and party facilities, and modern kitchen. Guests enjoyed the proximity to local amenities, including pubs and a castle. The property is ideal for group celebrations such as birthdays and golf trips, offering a memorable experience with thoughtful touches like a welcome pack.

The property was generally found to be clean, with specific praise for its condition upon arrival. However, there were some concerns about missed areas and appliances not being cleaned, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly regarded, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions like a castle and nature reserve. The presence of a traditional pub right opposite and Chesterfield town centre being a short drive away adds to the appeal.

Guests found the property comfortable, with plenty of room for large groups and well-stocked essentials. Some feedback suggested the lounge area might be tight for larger groups, but overall the comfort level was high.

The facilities, including a spa, party room, and modern kitchen, were appreciated. However, there were mentions of maintenance issues like taps needing attention and problems with the Internet connection, indicating some areas need addressing.

The hosts provided thoughtful touches such as a generous welcome pack and were responsive to guests' needs. While such gifts enhance the experience, it's important to note they may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a fantastic stay for a 50th birthday. Facilities were great, loved the hot tub and the karaoke machine. Nice touch having the robes in each room. Kitchen fully kitted out with everything you need, welcome pamper was a nice surprise too. Place was spotlessly clean and beds were comfy. Walking distance to pubs, restaurants and Bolsover castle just round the corner. A great weekend had by all. Host was fab too, plenty of useful videos provided on how to operate facilities. Great value for money, would definitely return.

Just returned from family break, ideally located with shops, restaurants, pubs in walking distance, castle on the door step. We had a fab time so much in the area to see and do. 1st time to this area for me, love the architecture and pretty flowers in all villages and towns beautifully kept. This house has it all, party room, steam room, sauna, hot tub well equipped. Dinning room was tight with 8 never mind 10. Kitchen is well equipped and it's nice that coffee, oils etc are there to use been to so many where there's nothing left, we left sone frozen food unopened hope its useful to someone . Welcoming basket was great ty, the children soon emptied it.Owners helpful when we couldn't get something working. Would definitely recommend, few DIY jobs need attention like taps etc
