On a clear day views reach as far as Golden Cap, Lyme Regis and even Exmouth, be sure to use the binoculars to make the most of the views before you. The ground floor is an open plan kitchen, dining table for 8 guests, sitting room with conservatory with breath-taking coastline views. Sit with your breakfast coffee or gin and tonic in the evening and lose yourself in the spectacular coastal scene before you. Two ground floor bedrooms, both with twin single beds, a shower room, cloakroom and utility room are also downstairs. Upstairs you will find two refurbished bedrooms, 1 double bed and two single beds, both have outstanding views and share a family shower room. The garden and property are reached by a number of sets of stone steps, with hand rails to aid you, as the garden is on several levels making the most of the far-reaching views. The property sits in an elevated position nestled in the hillside and tucked down a private road with no through access. You will find footpaths for exploring Portland and the South West Coastal path right on your doorstep. Pitt Hayes is perfectly positioned for exploring the Dorset Coastline, with West Bay, Charmouth, and Lyme Regis to the West and Weymouth, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle to the East, you will never be short of new views to see. If you want to stay closer to the cottage, Tout Quarry and Portland Bill along with the Portland Museum, Chesil beach and the National Sailing academy are all within a few minute’s drive of Pitt Hayes.

On Dorset's spectacular Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, the village of Fortuneswell can be found on the rugged Isle of Portland, joined to the mainland via Chesil Beach, a pebble spit, which stretches 18 miles towards West Bay. Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!
