The Porthole is set in a fantastic spot for your visit to Portland. The marina is almost on your doorstep with its sailing academy and the opportunity for you to try your hand at sailing, windsurfing and an array of other watersports. For a more relaxing day out, Chesil Beach is just a short stroll away or for a meal out, Portland has a wonderful selection of cafes, restaurants and bars.
Ocean Views is situated in an area of on-going redevelopment with building works being carried out close to the development, these can be seen and heard from the apartment building and may disrupt your stay at Ocean Views.

The apartment was very clean and supplied with everything you could want, except a pizza cutter! The beds were comfortable and even the pillows, which my husband always complains about, got a word of praise. It could do with curtains in the dining/living areas in addition to the blinds. They would make it feel warmer & more welcoming especially as the flooring is tiled & not carpeted. The on-site swimming pool was out of use for 'repairs' while we were there but we were not told that so my son was very disappointed. It's the only reason I managed to get him to come with us, but hey ho, can't be helped. The allocated parking space for the apartment was used by someone else on our arrival back from our last day out so I had to park in an unallocated space and sent a text to Shannon (our holiday manager). She got right back to me, apologising, but it wasn't her fault. I just wanted her to know in case it happens again. I did place a note on the offending car too! All in all its a lovely base to come back to after very busy days out and we would definitely stay here again.
