This is the perfect base from which to explore West Dorset and East Devon. Lyme Regis includes the celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, and small theatre can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. The popular destination of West Bay, famous for the TV series Broadchurch, is only 10 miles away on the Coast which is also a World Heritage Site. There are other attractions close by to suit all tastes including the Sub Tropical Gardens of Abbotsbury, fishing trips, fossil hunting at Charmouth, horse riding and much more.
