Inside, the cottage has a large and contemporary kitchen area equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal with your family. You can even step out into the courtyard and enjoy a bite to eat in the sunshine. If you fancy a lazy evening in front of the TV, the warm and inviting lounge has a flatscreen TV with Freeview, Blu-ray player and surround sound, plenty to keep you entertained.
On the first floor you will find three bright and comfortable bedrooms for you to rest your head at the end of a long day. The third bedroom has twin beds and is ideal for adults and children alike.
Phoenix Cottage is a Grade 2 listed building found in a conservation area and set in the centre of Appledore, a traditional Devonshire seaside village. With independent craft shops, quaint cafes and superb restaurants serving fresh local seafood all on your doorstep, you may not feel the need to venture further afield during your stay. If you do fancy a day of walking and seeing more of the beautiful local scenery, the South West Coast Path is just a stone’s throw from your front door.

There is no parking at the property, although a car park run by the local authority is a short walk from Phoenix Cottage for which daily and weekly permits can be purchased, and there is some parking at The Quay.

We spent Christmas 2015 in Phoenix Cottage, Appledore with our grown up children. The holiday was excellent from initial booking enquiry to the cottage itself which exceeded our expectations and was excellent value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending the property and the company.

This is a very charming cottage in the centre of Appledore. It has all that you need and is very nicely decorated. At our arrival the beds were nicely made with towels on them. There was milk in the fridge and a hearty arranged welcome tray with biscuits, chocolate drink and a lovely card on it. The outside patio has a plastic lawn on the floor which makes it very inviting for sitting outside. The information we got was very clear and helpful.
