To the front, magnificent mature trees and a very large paved area for parking; from this, steps down through colourful shrubs to indoor heated swimming pool (31’ x 15’6" x 3'6" to 5'6" deep) with jet stream and shower-room, loo and table tennis; extensive enclosed lawns with gazebo (open fire, barbecue, electric light/power) and, beyond, a fenced wildlife-friendly wood with large pond (toddlers beware) with island house for the resident ducks - a beautiful, tranquil area.

The house is exceptional. Enormous care has been taken with renovation. Elegant, width-of-house drawing room (woodburner) with boudoir grand piano, iPod dock, views of the garden and French windows to a terrace (table/chairs) with gorgeous long views; sunny morning room with well-stocked bookcase, suitable for card games; dining room (gas fire - ornamental) with table seating 22; ultimate kitchen designed by food-loving owner for several ‘foodies’ simultaneously to prepare special meals (microwave, Aga, 5-ring gas hob/split-level electric oven, freezer, larder fridge) with granite worktops, central work island, slate floor, table/chairs, French windows both sides to suntrap terraces; also utility room with two dishwashers, fridge-freezer; laundry room (washing machine, tumble drier, sink); snug with TV, PlayStation 3; children's games room with three-quarter-sized snooker/pool table, toys; downstairs loo.

These two rooms share a bathroom (suite plus hand-shower and separate shower), also accessed via the large room only.

The African Room - a double (access to one side of bed only, washbasin)

The Sunflower Room - a double (zip-linked 6’ bed or twin) with en suite bathroom (suite, shower over bath plus hand-shower) and door to The Dragonfly Room, a simple single - can be accessed from landing or Sunflower Room

The French Room - a double (5' bed, washbasin)

The Antoinette Room - a double (zip-linked 6' bed or twin) with additional single day bed and en suite bathroom (suite with free-standing roll-top bath and separate shower)

Attached to the east side of the house is a self-contained apartment, smart but more modest, with separate external access and decked area (table/chairs). Open-plan living room with double sofa bed, TV/DVD and kitchen area (microwave, washing machine, larder fridge); two bedrooms – a double (5’ bed), and a twin (zip-linkable to 6' double, no clothes-hanging space); bathroom (suite, shower over bath). 

Also with external access is a detached annexe (dubbed 'The Garden Shed') with two double bedrooms (5' beds, interconnecting door), each with en suite shower-room (wet-room suite), and large patio (table/chairs). 

6 TVs/3 DVDs. Professional catering and ready meals available. Arrival after 4pm. Damages Deposit £500. This is a stunning house - you won’t want to leave!
