Trust woods beyond. Across the lane, steps down to shared slipway (care needed, some narrow/steep steps, unguarded river access) with mooring for small dinghy (boat hire locally). From lane, 11 steepish steps up to gently sloping, shared path across lawn to entrances. A scenic riverside location. If booked together, the apartments accommodate 14.
Galanda: a ground-floor apartment with own peaceful terrace (table/chairs) from which to enjoy ever-changing estuary views, and small tree-shaded lawned area (guests occupying L144a during July and August, the owners and their friendly dog share path across the lawn). Three further steps from lawn up to your own entrance to open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer) with TV/DVD; three bedrooms – a double with en suite bathroom (suite plus hand-shower), a twin (garden/river views), and a bunk room (3' beds) with limited clothes-hanging space; shower-room (shower, cupboard with washing machine, tumble drier) through to separate loo. Ready meals and meals in the owners' house available (September to June). No pets during July/August.

"A lovely peaceful retreat with good river access (if you have a boat). Parking can be a squeeze at times. Wish we have had more opportunity to walk Rosie the owner's dog. The kids enjoyed catching crabs at the water's edge and playing in the garden. Beautiful scenery and most relaxing. Only wish we could make a permanent move!"

"As a family of 5, with children aged 6-12, we enjoyed our stay at this very pleasant property. Helpful Holidays dealt with our late booking kindly and efficiently. Sara made sure we knew how to contact her, although we hadn't realised before arrival that only one mobile phone network works in this area. WiFi was very useful instead and lack of phone signal made no difference to us anyway. Beautiful walks in the woods at the end of the lane and also into Newton Ferrers and beyond; while the river access was brilliant for canoeing several times a day. Thank you!"
