Fantastic for those seeking escape from urban life; no light pollution, so perfect for star-gazing during outdoor suppers or strolls along the river. Sightings of deer, badger, fox very likely.
A few steps up to open porch; big living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, walk-in larder with fridge-freezer) with TV/DVD, lofty ceiling and views across the river valley; hall with cupboard containing washing machine. Four bedrooms – a spacious double (5’ bed) with TV/DVD, en suite bathroom (suite plus hand-shower) and doors to romantic verandah (table/chairs) with serene views; another double (5’ bed) with TV; a twin, and a single; bathroom (suite plus hand-shower and separate shower); loo. A wonderful hideaway in a glorious area.

"Valley lodge was a great location for exploring exmoor and north Devon . It was lovely being the only property and having the garden and outside area to ourselves and great for the dogs to be free. The lodge was very well equipped and homely. Leaving homemade cakes,eggs,wine and fresh flowers was a welcoming touch and much appreciated. The owner rang to welcome us and before we left to see if everything was ok and we had the phone number if there were any problems. We had a really great week!"
