About this property

The Coach House is one of two adjacent cottages enjoying an elevated position from the village of Minchinhampton which offers stunning views of quintessential Cotswold valleys and is blessed with some award winning cafes and restaurants, a local butcher, organic dairy and farm shop. Refurbished to an impeccable standard, The Coach House sits hidden away in a secluded spot behind a private gate, a stone's throw away from an excellent pub.

Minchinhampton is a picturesque Cotswolds village, surrounded by a common where cows graze during the summer months. The cows even wander into the village. There are superb views of the Stroud valley from the common itself, and lots of walks to country pubs and more.

The Coach House is a listed Cotswold stone building, part of a stables that has been fully refurbished, set in its own private and secluded grounds yet in the middle of the village. You arrive at the property via electric gates, which open up onto a covered, Cotswold stone cart shed. Walk through the archway and a stable door opens onto a fully fitted kitchen and dining room, with chairs for six, as well as a window seat – the perfect place to relax with a book or a glass of something.

With modern features such as a 55” wall-mounted Smart television; under-floor heating in the ground floor rooms; a romantic roll-top bath and a large walk-in shower, the property has everything you need to relax in style. There are lovely views across the private garden and to the valley beyond from the day room on the first floor. Outside the Coach House is a large, covered dining table with benches, shared with The Stables next door, where you can enjoy al fresco dining.

Enjoying an elevated position, Minchinhampton offers stunning views of quintessential Cotswolds valleys and is blessed with some award winning cafes and restaurants, a local butcher, organic dairy and farm shop. A highlight in the village, and just a short walk away, is The Crown Inn, an 18th century pub renovated in 2019 to create the perfect Cotswold country pub. A weekly country market attests to the importance of local produce and the surrounding countryside provides numerous walking routes.

The Coach House at The Lammas can also be booked with pet-free The Stables to sleep eight guests in total, subject to availability. Both properties enjoy their own private outside space and guests can join together for al fresco dining during the warmer months at the large outdoor dining table with benches in the atmospheric covered cobble stoned area. If you're feeling energetic, you are invited to book the hard surface tennis court during your stay.

Please note: there is a low beam in one bedroom which means most guests will have to duck to enter the bathroom.

We were absolutely delighted with the accommodation and beautiful peaceful surroundings. A haven from wedding preparations with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms, the standard was so high. We hosted a dinner for 14 during our stay and our guests loved it too. Emma , the housekeeper and the owner could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend.

The Coach House is beautifully designed, comfortable, spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious stay. The host lives very near by and came to greet us to make sure we had everything we needed -- which we did, and more (she makes the best marmalade we’ve ever tasted)! The hospitality basket contained absolutely everything you need for a evening welcome snack, a hearty breakfast and more. And the town itself is stunning with a small shop where you can get whatever you may have forgot, a very good pub and a pretty town square.
