About this property

This beautiful 19th century Cotswold stone farmhouse is located on Todenham Manor Farm, a 900 acre family farm in the heart of the Cotswolds, home to 450 rare breed cattle, 200 pigs, a butchery, farm shop and cafe. Lower Farmhouse is in an ideal location for visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden and Broadway.

Toddenham Manor Farm land was once owned by Westminster Abbey and has been producing and providing food for the local community for generations. The fabulous and popular farm shop sells a wide range of their own rare breed beef and pork, as well as lamb and poultry and seasonal meat, along with providing a selection of local artisan produce, fruit, vegetables, bakery, dairy and larder items. Treat yourselves to one of their delicious meat boxes to cook some memorable English breakfasts and special dinners during your stay. Alternatively, enjoy breakfast or lunch at the on-site Moo's Cafe, with a varied and delicious menu of their own meats as well as vegetarian/vegan options, cakes and brownies baked on site, and bread from local artisan producers.

Lower Farmhouse is the perfect choice for families or friends looking for a base central to all the wonders of the Cotswolds along with superb accommodation including five en-suite bedrooms over the first and second floors, four of which offer the flexibility of a super-king or twin option. Gather around the large inglenook fireplace on chilly evenings and light the wood burning stove in the comfy sitting room with its exposed beams and plenty of seating. Prepare delicious meals on the Aga in the breakfast kitchen, with conventional cooking facilities also available.

The sunny, south facing garden welcomes you to enjoy al-fresco dining with a charcoal barbecue provided, perfect for making the most of those farm shop's goodies.

Lovely house with plenty of space. Garden is stunning and well manicured. Each room has a bathroom which is a huge plus. Farm is immaculate. Located by farm shop and cafe. Lounge was sociable and kitchen facilities had most things that you need which many rentals lack. Welcome hamper was amazing. Bedroom headboards were dirty which was only major disappointment and a couple of the beds could well do with new mattresses. That aside, a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend.

The accommodation was excellent could not fault it.A few minor complaints key safe not very good came apart when opening, oven gloves in very poor condition need replacing. Location was very good with farm shop close by and cafe next door. The cafe was a real bonus, had an enjoyable Sunday lunch there, very friendly staff. Despite the weather everyone had an enjoyable stay. A great place to celebrate my birthday. Hope to visit again in the future.
