    About this property

Bobble Cottage is a delightful Cotswold cottage, stunning and contemporary and, in our opinion absolutely ideal for couples looking for a weekend bolt hole. The property is located in a quiet corner of the beautiful Cotswold village of Little Rissington and has off street parking for one car. Internally the ground floor is open plan, with a welcoming cosy and warm feeling upstairs is a good sized bedroom with ensuite bathroom . Bobble Cottage is presented to a very high standard with comfort central to its appeal. As you can imagine there are great walks from your front door, either up the hill where you'll get some stunning views or alternatively you can walk down the hill towards Bourton on the Water, which is 30 mins on foot or less than 5 mins in the car! With such a central central location, it is an ideal base for enjoying the many National Trust gardens and properties. A gorgeous cottage!

Little Rissington is a quiet village outside the popular destination of Bourton-on-the-Water, Little Rissington is worth visiting for its 12th century church with its moving memorial to RAF servicemen. The village styling is typical for the Cotswolds; small cottages fronted by flower-boxes. Associations are always made between the village and RAF Little Rissington, the air base which was located relatively close. The main attraction is the 12th century church, which lies apart from the village up a short path to the west of the road. On Pound Lane is a row of Cotswold stone cottages described as perhaps the best example in Gloucestershire of 17th century vernacular building.

" There was no way I was going to use it. It definaletly needs to be cleaned out. "
    Ms Brimble ‐ 1 Sep 2021
" Parking at village hall also impossible at times. Oven and freezer not as clean as we would have liked. "
    Mrs Rock ‐ 1 Apr 2021
"The only thing we would have liked was a small TV in the bedroom. We will definately return to this cottage."
    Mrs Innes ‐ 1 Apr 2021
" Thought decoration was a bit scuffed throughout and could do with a repaint. Headboard on bed also required and operating instructions book for oven not in property. Change door opening side on fridge. Wonky door on shower. Hoover useless. Parking space is very narrow. Small things to criticise I know, but easily rectified and would make the cottage perfect but that didn’t spoil our lovely stay. Nice location and a lovely walk into Bourton via the church and fields recommended. "

" The bed and sofa are super comfy which was great. The property was clean on the surface but it did need a deeper clean, for example dust and fluff under the furniture and on plug sockets. We also washed all of the cutlery, plates, cups etc because there were crumbs in the cutlery drawer and on some of the knives. Due to the covid rules it was required to strip the bed, once I'd done so I saw many stains on the duvet itself! Considering the fact we are in the middle of a pandemic I think the property should be deep cleaned and old duvets etc replaced. It would also be useful to have some more cupboard space in the kitchen for our own food etc, I had move loads of stuff around just to get one shelf for our things! The location of the property is perfect, very close to all the beautiful little towns including bourton on the water and stow on the wold. It is also close to a lovely national trust walk and a zoo where we could take our dog! "

"Beautiful location. Was everything we wanted and needed. Would highly recommend and would visit again without hesitation. I have only one comment to make and its not a complaint, merely a suggestion - bigger outside bin required. We were there for a week and felt bin wasnt big enough."

" A lovely cottage clean on arrival had everything we needed Parking is tight outside but you can park up the the road outside the village hall , was ok for us but maybe not for others A great location "

"It was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good & there was all that you could need in the kitchen utensils wise. The milk, cookies & ice in the freezer on our arrival were a nice touch & it was handy being able to access Netflix on the TV. We enjoyed some glorious weather during our week & enjoyed sitting out in front of the cottage to soak up some late afternoon sun. The location is super central for Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow On The Wold & all of the must see places in the Cotswolds. One thing worth highlighting with this property to help anyone booking in future is the allocated parking space, it is very narrow. We have a Ford Focus & it completely filled the space, my husband had to do some serious gymnastics to get out of the car once parked up between the other vehicles in the courtyard. You wouldn’t get a bigger vehicle in to the space- I know there is a mention of alternative parking outside the village hall but there were vehicles already parked there so not a feasible alternative. Also the cottage would benefit from a proper wheelie bin like the other properties in Bobble Court have- the small black bin by the front door was already 3/4 full when we arrived for our weeks break which left little room for our rubbish. " Nice peaceful location Parking is very tight when other cottages are all in use all though stated on paper work That we could park on village hall a few yards away. while we there a notice on village hall stated event. Parking for patrons only "
    Mr Kenner
" Good walking paths in the area. Only issue was the parking bay for number 3 was very tight. When other occupants parked upto the lines we couldn't get our car in the bay or not get out. We were able to use another bay but that might not always be an option. Instructions for the fire would be helpful. Would also be nice to have had recycling bins for the cottages. "

" The information folder states to use the No. 3 refuse bin.... There is no refuse bin!! talking to the next door neighbour, he's quite upset that other cottage users have put their rubbish into his bin, or left the plastic sacks outside of bins. This then gets torn open by foxes / cats, and leaves rubbish strewn around. That's why our sack was left in the property. The toilet seat requires attention, as when used, the seat falls out of the fixing brackets!! Also, if the shower could be upgraded to a power-shower, would make the experience better, and perhaps for winter, a permanant heater installed in that room. The TV seemed to have NETFLIX, but I couldn't access this, although not a big deal for us, maybe others would be disappointed. All in all, we had a very enjoyable week there, and would consider returning. "
    Mr Moore
"Would suggest shelf in shower cubicle and drawers needed in bedroom though. Otherwise overall very satisfied."

    Mrs Hitchins
"Lovely to have towels provided and welcome pack. We chose the cottage on location, dog friendly and size, we were not disappointed."

    - Mr Taylor, September 2020
"There was a nice touch with tea, coffee and milk already there . A lovely specious bathroom and a nice comfy bed. A lovely location, not very far from Bourton and the Slaughters."

"Well equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Parking space is very tight in anything bigger than a Smart Car."
    - Mrs Walther, September 2021
"Parking was fine as long as only the driver remained in the car for parking."
    - Ms Joice, September 2021
"Keeping to the 6pm check in time, was difficult, not much to do late afternoon with a carful of luggage. The heating system was difficult to understand. For dog owners, the Visitor Information Centre in Bourton has a very cheap booklet on dog friendly local walks - highly recommended."
